FIIB Business Review (FBR) has evolved as one of the preferred journals of management and the journey to it was long and enriching. What remained constant was the commitment to advance research and practice of management, visionary leadership of the editorial advisory board, and the mindset to excel. Maybe, that’s why FBR is more than just a management journal, it is also a vehicle of transformation in management. It isn’t an easy road for a journal that just started 8 years ago. FBR has 4 sections – Perspective, Research, Case, and Review. Perspective is an opinion based paper on socio-economic issues of micro and macro relevance concerning businesses and public policy. Research section covers empirical research and emerging trends on management in both India and worldwide. Case section is dedicated to case studies and analyses of issues, companies, challenges, and the innovative solutions suggested by practitioners and academicians, while the Review section is a review of recently published books, or websites. This gives a whole perspective of management both in theory and practice.

For a journal, it’s very important to have multi-disciplinary diverse views to grow and increase readership. Not just that, having a single minded approach makes the knowledge biased which is never a good thing, that is one of the biggest reason FBR is diverse.

The Global readership of FBR is on the rise, however looking at the macro scenarios, penetrating into developing countries gives FBR the leverage to spread and absorb the multitude of research and knowledge that’s being created in those countries. Since the editorial advisory board contains eminent people from all over the world wide, they bring that expertise to the table and help FBR take its steps towards becoming more global.

The editorial advisory board of FBR consists of internationally renowned management academicians and practitioners, they meet and periodically review the ongoing journey and way forward for the journal. FBR is ably guided by group of Editorial Advisors who have been selected from premier institutes across the Globe. The Advisory Board is also entrusted with the task of acting as brand ambassadors of the journal and helping the journal in getting indexed. During the last meeting, many exciting add ons were suggested to the already interesting journal offerings.

FBR has grown over the 8 years and the best part about it is, the growth is constant. From 2011-12 when the first issue of FBR was released and now, FBR has been the vehicle that recognises research talent and continues doing so. In future, FBR is planning to collaborate more often with the subject and field experts to bring out special issues that talk about contemporary management challenges like cross-cultural management, Big Data, Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence.
