Industry Connect : FIIB partners for Digital Marketing Awards’16

Recently Dr. Nimit Gupta, Prof Anupam Bhaskar and I had an opportunity to attend DIGIES 2016, an award night for digital marketing professionals organised by afaqs! on 28th September 2016. The awards were finalized by eminent jury from the advertising and digital world. The panel included Anil K Nair (CEO and managing partner, Digital L&K Saatchi & Saatchi), Carlton D’Silva (CEO and CCO, Hungama Digital Services), Divya Uttam (vice-president and business head – digital, Havas Worldwide), Gopa Kumar (vice-president, Isobar), Namrata Balwani (senior vice-president and head of office, OgilvyOne WorldWide, Delhi), and few other renowned professionals. I had a chance to interact with Mr. Gopa Kumar, Vice-president, Isobar. I congratulated him and the team for winning awards in several categories like Mobile, Search, Social Media, Video – Brand Integration. It was a great experience to see young professionals winning awards and accolades for carving digital marketing strategies.

FIIB partnered with afaqs! to boost the morale and appreciate the hard work done by the digital marketing professionals. Digital marketing is surely a skill to learn for marketers in this dynamic marketing environment. Professionals who have chosen to hone their skills in online marketing are at the forefront of their jobs. FIIB is a pioneer in providing courses and programs related to Digital Marketing and Analytics. Students at FIIB are exposed to basics of digital marketing from first year onwards through guest lectures and industry interactions. The students also take up internships in digital marketing companies and get a first-hand experience of working in a digital environment. FIIB is also organizing the Marketing Conclave 2016 on the theme ‘Celebrating Brands in the Digital Age’ which aims to bring together the best of mind sin field of digital marketing and discuss how brands are now nurtured, developed and sustained in the online environment.
