Meraki 2017 : What’s your Big Idea?

Entrepreneurship is clearly a driving force for growth and change in the global economy.

With this in mind, FIIB’s E-Cell–Udaan launched “Meraki in 2012.  Meraki is an international level Business Plan Competition (BPC) for students who are looking to launch a socially, financially and technologically sustainable entrepreneurial venture. The Meraki BPC is an initiative of Udaan, the E-cell of FIIB. Students seldom have an innovative business idea, due to lack of an appropriate platform these ideas do not evolve into an effective business plan.  Meraki

This competition provides an opportunity for students to learn about entrepreneurship through the development and presentation of a business idea to a panel of judges. Participants in the competition have an opportunity to define their ideas in commercial terms and to compete for substantial cash prizes that could be used to further the commercialization of their ideas.  Every year Meraki receives entries from top colleges of India and South Asia. From all the plans that are received, 10 teams qualify to present to an eminent jury panel comprising top entrepreneurs and VC’s of India Inc.

Meraki differentiates itself from other comparable BPC’s due to its unique judging panel.  As part of Meraki, top angel investors and venture capitalists of the country will be hearing and evaluating the students’ B-Plan pitches, which increases the chances of deserving ideas getting follow-on funding. The same ideas also can be given incubation support and constant mentoring under FIIB’s own incubator – Fortune Venture Incubator (FVI).

So if you have a great Idea waiting for some exposure register for Meraki 2017 now.
