Why I Enjoy and Look Forward to the FIIB Mentoring Sessions with my Mentor

Going down to my memory lane, I was never assigned by a personal mentor in any of my educational institutes. So, this scenario was totally pristine for me. And after successfully completing 5 mentor-mentee sessions, I can proudly say that this is one of the most admirable programmes which FIIB has provided me.

My mentor is Prof. Shuchi Dixit, who is in herself a proficient counsellor and an expert in Human Resource Management domain (which I am also planning to opt as my major specialisation). Sessions with her are tremendously euphoric!

Generally, I count myself as an introverted person who finds it laborious to share what’s in her mind and gets anxious during public speaking. My mentor harked these issues for me so well and ended up in providing me the best guidance; now I can sternly see the change.

These sessions are just like a stress buster to me where I can talk about any dilemma and for me this could be the reason why I relish and look forward to the FIIB’s mentor-mentee sessions.

Besides it, I feel fortunate to have a mentor who protects me from any missteps, prepares me for a change, and helps in enhancing our vision.

Oprah Winfrey once quoted that, “A mentor is someone who allows you to see the hope inside yourself” and I wholeheartedly thank FIIB for making me count on this quote by providing me such therapeutic sessions and a great mentor.
